Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as the morning news anchor as well as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to state authorities issuing more strict guidelines in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's work in Charleston has led to her serving as co-anchor and investigative reporter as well as NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a anchor on the weekdays and was also NBC's weekend co-anchor. Her current position as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News.
